Hi, I would like to ask is there any software for pocektPC platform, that is utlilising garmin (mapsource) maps, or are these maps only for use with garmin units or iQue?

Garmin Que is available for the PPC, but it is tied to a Garmin GPS receiver. At the moment you can only get Que software with a CF Que 1620 (Compact flash) or GPS 10(Bluetooth) for the PPC.
