Hi all,
I have a Dell X5 running TomTom5.1 with CheckPoint 5.02.
The thing is I can't select a button for recording POI's. I go into Checkpoint tap Settings then General Settings. Then I select a Button for recording a POI. But this doesn't work. Can someone put me right pls.

Blastt

Hi blasttiod,

I don't know if the Dell X5 buttons are like an iPAQ 2210, but on my iPAQ I've set button "4 - Notes" as the button for recording a POI and that button is the one farthest on the right hand (with an arrow).

Regards,

Hi pr0ton,

Welcome to the forum! Thumbs Up

Do you use the free PocketGPSWorld camera database?

If you do, why don’t you install the new PocketGPSWorld camera recording utility, POI Capture?

I couldn’t say anything about POI Capture before it was launched at the Basingstoke event on Saturday 26th November 2005.

Regards,

I have been having exactly the same trouble.

HP 2210 PDA
TomTom 5.2.10
CheckPoint 5.0.2.0

It is impossible to assign to any button.

Also when I start CheckPoint and tap Navigate it will not start TomTom. So I have to start TomTom and then enable CheckPoint from the main menu.

It rather looks as though this is down to bugs as we all seem to be having similar trouble. Perhaps we need to hope that someone from CheckPoint migh read this.

Having just returned from a trip I have found that the SatNav needs to be locked on to a GPS signal, then the POI button will work.

Apologies to Check Point

Enjoy

Can't get button for recording a POI to work:
Equippment/SW: HP4700, TT 5.21, Checkpoint 5.0.2

This is what I do:
o Assign the recording button on the PDA to be connected to "Notes". This is done under Settings/Buttons meny
o In Checkpoint 5.0.2/General Settings/Button For Recording a POI I assign button to "Notes"
o Start Checkpoint and TT5 and get the GPS to lock
o Push the Recording Button, but get the application "Notes" to start

What is going wrong here ?

Try setting a route or use it during an actual route. I think it needs that info to work
