I would not put it on charge all the time if you only use it only once every 1-2 weeks.
It may be easier to back up your data to the SD card so you just restore when you do want to use it. A 256MB SD card which is enough for your maps and data is cheaper and easier to get than a cradle. _________________ Pc-Mobile

there is a cradle on the medion site www.medion.co.uk under 'pda accessories'. Its for a ppc150 (looks very like a Mitac 168) - £19.99 to you.........!

The Mio 168 has an internal 1350 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that is not user replaceable.
Li-Ion batteies do not like to be continually discharged and recharged, it is much better to keep them topped up. As well as the hassle of having to restore your Mio each time you want to use it, allowing the battery to continually go flat and recharge it will shorten it's life-span.
If there is a cradle for the 168 I would consider buying one. _________________ Ian.

I have just ordered a cradle from medionshop.co.uk.
It should be delivered tomorrow.
I will post again when I have received it and tested it to let you know how I get on. _________________ Mitac Mio 168

I now have the cradle, It's great - :D
You need to order:
40005939 - MD PPC150 inkl. holder
From:
www.medionshop.co.uk
Also I have just invested in Battery Pack Pro 1.1.1, a really useful Pocket PC management tool, I got this from www.pocketgear.co.uk
Hope this all helps _________________ Mitac Mio 168
