TTN 3 does support the Cassiopeia processor, but you will also need to think about how much RAM it has (minimum 16 are required) and where you want to store the maps and how you want to connect the GPS receiver.
After all it may not be worth the hassle. _________________ Lutz

yes, CF cards will work fine.
Does it have a serial connector? If not you may have to use infrared.
Don't even think about using a CF GPS. most likely they don't have drivers for your machine. And only very recently did they come out with combo cards (GPS plus memory) _________________ Lutz

hi thanks alot! yes it does have a serial port and i got a cable which i used to connect it to my pc.. but not for in car use! too big. i do not think irda port will be a good option given all the problems of ir!
however i saw a pop up about pdamods.com on gps world site.. so i browsed thru their page they mention casio in one advert but no selection when it comes to the drop down menu!!!
so i emailed the guy in customer relation.. hope he/she will get in touch!!
keep my fingers crossed!!
thanks a lot again. |

TT3 may be a bit pushing on E125, if it does run at all.
I suggest you get TT1 ! if you can find one. It is perfectly OK for navigation purpose. It will run happily on your Casio. It will also save you a lot of money (if you can find one that is).
There may have been a TomTom GPS/Casio bundle at one time?
You can then think of TT3 (or 4/5) when you change to a new PPC (and you will). _________________ Pc-Mobile

Hey, not so pessimistic. I did get TomTom 3 to run on a Compaq Aero ! (Just the map display was a bit, uhm, black in black, but the instructions work fine.) _________________ Lutz

One concern I have is whether Navigator 5 (looking to the future) will support non ARM processors or, indeed, anything still running Pocket PC 2000.
I can't remember what processor the Cassiopeia uses, though I think I'm right in remembering it's a Pocket PC 2000 machine.
