Mini sd card

Hi i am using Tom Tom mobile on a C500. I was using it on a 256 card and had no problems. I upgraded to a 512 card and since then Tom Tom just stops working when it feels like and i have to reboot the phone. I have tried 3 cards now all made by Apacer so i assume they are just not up to the job of running Tom Tom, so can anyone tell me please what 512 cards they using troublefree and where is the best place to source it from, as i am going to return these cards and get my money back(fortuntately i only paid for 1 the others are replacements sent by the company in an effort to discover what the problem was). To end if i put the 256 card back in Tom Tom works fine. paul

Can you check if the format is different on the cards? FAT/FAT16/FAT32 ?

they are formatted as fat. I even tried reformatting

Because the phone was still crashing i decided to look furthur into this. My 256 card was a king max which has a read rate of 10mb sec, the apacer has a read rate of 6mb sec. Because of this i decided to but another 512 card which had a higher rate then the Apacer ones and i bought a 512 PQi mini sd card which has a read rate of 9mb sec. Since this has been installed the phone has not crashed at all (nearly a week now). Not sure if this is because of the quality of the apacer disks or more likely the speed so my advice before you buy a new card for use with Tom Tom ensure it has a read rate of more the 6mb sec.
