OK, I just got my TomTom Bluetooth GPS reciever for my Orange SPV M2000, and I got the two devices connected up just fine (or at least I assume so...solid blue light on the reciever, moving dots and GPS time on the device)
but it seems impossible for the reciever to get a lock on anything. Not once has it picked up a signal, and I'm starting to get worried.

I'll post up some info so you know what I'm running.

SPV M2000:
ROM: 1.12.22 WWE
Radio: 1.06.02
Bluetooth 1.0.0 3000
ExtROM 1.12.139

TomTom Navigator 3.07
TomTom Bluetooth GPS

where are you testing in the car our outside?
if in the car, what car are you driving?
How long have you left them connected for?
Have you tried soft reseting the PDA?

so you get dots going from left to right on the status page?
do you get any bars on the left?
I am assuming that you have turned IR off.
