Axim X50v with a TomTom X5 mount+gps?

Hi all - trying to get a sat nav system up n running but received today a mount and gps from ebay that doesn't look right for my Axim X50v. The seller listed the kit (Tomtom navigator car kit) as being good for the x5/x50, but unless I'm missing something obvious, it won't fit the x50 plug in socket at the bottom - different shape and too far forward.

At the bottom of the X50 it has something that looks like a blanking plate as shipped to fill the sd and cf cards, with two holes in it - is that any use, and should I try to pull it out?

Have mailed the seller but guess I'll end up sticking it back on ebay to recoup some of the money. The GPS receiver is a Seidio GR300 and the kit doesn't look to have been used (certainly not by me!)

The other problem I had when putting POI on was that Tomtom wouldn't start because it said I have too many POI on. I take it there's a limit to how many POI Tomtom 3 can handle - what is it, anyone know, or is it a memory issue? I've just bought a 512 Cf and 1gb SD card so storage space isn't really an issue right now.

its a totally different form factor for the Dell x50v so you have been miss sold goods.
