Hello all!

I just bought the Globalsat SD-501 and I can't get it to work. I think it has to do with the comports and I am not sure as how to solve it.

This is what I can see using the GPS info program in my phone:

COM1: Serial
COM2: Serial_Cmd
COM3: IrCOMM
COM4: BTIBserial
COM5: BTOBserial
COM9: Serial_Data

As you can see there is a gap between com 5-9 which I don't know why and I have also tried both versions of the driver on the Globalsat website with no change. I have just made a cold restart of the PDA so the operative is fresh. I have heard of the program Comkiller and tried it before the cold reset but it didn't do much more then confuse me.
Ater checking with the supplier the phone supports SDIO Now! so that shouldn't be the problem. Is there another program that can show what the different comports do and can you change them somehow. It seems that the SDIO often chooses Comport 7 which I can't even see.

Does anyone know what I should try?

best regards

Kristian

Can anyone please give me some input on this ...
I should also probably mention that the fix LED occasionally blinks so the device seems to be working - it just wont talk to the phone.

Does anyone else with a Qtek phone had any lucky with this device, not necessarily a S100.
