I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who has a TomTom Bluetooth GPS which works with his XDA2 Pocket PC Phone.

He'd like a solution to power both the XDA2 and the GPS unit off one cigarette lighter socket. Is there a USB power cable that could feed both at the same time. Indeed, I have yet to find a USB power solution for the TomTom GPS at all.

I had thought a dual-socket USB car adapter might be the answer, but these don't appear to exist either - though I'd be glad to be proved wrong!

Before suggesting a multi-socket cagarette lighter adapter, fpr various reasons, that's not suitable in this case.

When I bought my TomTom kit, I got a single cigarette lighter plug with two leads coming out of it. One for the GPS and one (with an adapter for my iPAQ). I use this when I am not in my own car.

Also with the kit, was a little cradle which I have mounted in the car and it pwers the GPS whenever the ignition is on. Just makes the whole thing more convenient.

I find the TomTom website a pain in the ar$e, but if you call one of their resellers maybe they can help.
Regards
Bruce
