Hi
I am thinking about buying a GPS but unsure which one to buy, the two I have been looking at are Garmin 2620 and Navman 650 as you know both have hard drive but which one is the best ???
Or should I go for buying a SD type and use a larger card to cover all the maps in the EC ??
Regards

If using it on foot is on your agenda then forget the Navman. Unfortunately it has no internal battery. If you want the speed camera database, you might have to forget the Garmin. I don't believe it can accept the whole thing. _________________ Tim |

Hi Brian,
I also deliberated over which to buy and tried them out in the store. I found that the ones that used cards were slower and I don't like faffing about with gadgets. I went for the Navman 650 which I am very pleased with, although I wish you could use the route planning software on your home computer. The Navman 510 uses the same software but uses cards. It has a battery though which is good for on foot or biking.

Hi Ken
I have the same thoughts about doing the route planning on a computer I dont know why you cant do that with the hard drive type so still in a dilemma.
If I go for the hard drive which will be the best GARMIN or NAVMAN??
Thanks
