I love the 510, but one thing I can't get working is Night Mode. I go to Settings...Maps...Display and click on the Night Mode raio button, exit out and save my changes, but the colors on the map do not change.

Is anyone else able to go to night mode?

Could you please post the answer, or the link to the previous post you mentioned - thanks.

Did you notice that we have a search option in the forums?

Yes, we know there is a search option. Unfortunately, there are always problems with search, like a search for "night mode" won't find the thread which specifies "nightmode".

The answer is that the night mode on the 510 does nothing with the screen colors, which is unlike any other GPS I've used - all it does is lower the brightness a bit. You can also lower and raise the brightness by holding down the + and - keys.

I see a lot of difference when using Night mode in the High Contrast Scheme rather than the default one, try it.

You are right - that made more difference.

After changing emails with Navman support, the night mode does nothing but tone down the brightness on the display. I really wish that it would be something automatic with time of day and turn the display to a black background or something. oh well maybe in a future update
