Just bought an Xda2 PDA and Rikaline 6031-X7 to install in-car with CoPilot PPC5 navigation software.

But can't get it all to work!

When I try to install the CoPilot PPC5 on my desktop, it tells me that the supplied Product Key code is not valid and the installation is terminated. CoPilot customer service say the code is a valid one and are sending replacement discs which might help.

The Xda2 has found the Rikaline receiver and listed it as one of its bonded b/tooth devices but when I switch on the pda b/tooth, the Rikaline b/tooth light stays out. This receiver should automatically switch on when the pda is activated. Could this be because the CoPilot software isn't loaded yet?

I'm new to all this and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

The GPS receiver's blue light only stays on with an active connection.

While you wait for the new CoPilot disks, why not try out Mapopolis? That way you can verify that your receiver works fine.

Thanks for the suggestion. Downloaded Manopolis and a demo map. The Rikaline X7 works fine when activated from within the Manopolis software. Just have to keep my fingers crossed for the new CoPilot discs now.

The problem of not being able to install CoPilot onto my PC turns out to be a faulty old PC! After it crashed terminally, bought a new system and the software installed perfectly, no problem with CoPilot product code. An expensive solution but the Xda2/Rikaline X7/CoPilot 5 combo now works well.
