TTM Forgets my Favourites & Settings

I’ve got Tomtom mobile up and running on my C500 no problems, just copied the contents of the SD cards over to a miniSD card and installed the update,
trouble is:

a) It always starts with the sound turned off (other preferences, such as
map style are remembered though)

b) Whenever I try to add a favourite (or my home location), it says it has
been added, but it’s never there when I try to set my destination as home or a favourite, or even when I just try to manage my favourites

c) Nothing is ever stored in my list of recent destinations

I’ve tried Tomtom support, but they helpfully tell me that TtM is not
supported on the C500 so they are unable to assist.

Anyone offer any help?

See if the .CFG file is set to read-only
