help, just bought a 2nd hand tomtom system on a hp1940
bought it about a week ago......worked from place i bought it and navigated me home(around 100 miles..great)

not had call to use it until yesterday........being honest I do not really know what i am doing !

but it will not work!

its all charged up.

pda is (looks) fine

BUT the square little grey box(sat reciever) does not seem to be ok

When switched on I get a flashing blue light........then in most places.......the green light flashes off and on as well........but on the pda ..it shows no sat being picked up........I have tryed this again today.........same thing.
there is a huge amount of cloud cover...will this cause it to not work?
what do the lights mean?
could it be that in my area it just does not pick up satelite?
I am in the south wales region.

sounds like the receiver is oki take it its bluetooth one if you got to the gps screen can you see any scrolling dotsat all. did the pda battery discharge if so and you had to reistall the software have played about with the com ports or does your car have a heat reflective windscreen
