Having been reasonably pleased with Traffic, I decided to go for the "special offer" to extend my subscription. I paid, the website says the extension has taken effect, and my subscription apparently extends until 02-01-2006.
However, since my trial expired, I can't get the software on my PDA to agree with the website - whenever it checks with the traffic server, it gets "Account Expired" - I've checked the password, reinstalled 3.07T, and tried again - still nothing.
I posted my problem to "My TomTom" a week ago, and apart from an automatic response, they've done nothing to help. It's very frustrating that I can't get a response out of them - Does anyone have any tips for getting answers from TomTom? |

Login to 'My TomTom' at the TomTom website.
Click on 'My Traffic'' then 'New Device' and Reset your Traffic Account.
All you then need to do is re-activate using your credentials on the PPC. This should have the effect of forcing the activation server to recognise your updated subscription _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren
Thanks for the suggestion - did as you said (even did a device soft-reset before trying again) - and got...
"TomTom Traffic account expired. Visit www.tomtom.com for more information"
Clearly there are 2 databases, one running the traffic server, one running the website, and my record isn't synchronised between them. Oh dear. I suppose this means I've just to wait for TomTom support to get round to answering my mail... |

Thanks anyway Darren - I'll be in touch if I've not heard anything from TTN by Monday evening.

I've heard from TomTom now - apparently there was a server problem which caused my registration to be recorded on the database that runs the website, but not transferred to the Traffic server.
Sorted now, and I got an extra month for the inconvenience.
Happy Now :D
