Hello Davec2,

If you are in a building (house etc) then the signal can be very weak, try moving within the the building or go out side, IF, you have tried that then I'm not sure what the problem could be, normally there should be a readout on your GPS to show how many sats you are receiving, 4 + should give you reliable use.

Regards

Thanks but I've tried outside and still nothing! I've even though about changing the GPS settings from Tom Tom wireless GPS to Tom Tom GPS(ipaq) or Tom Tom navigator ! Any thoughts please?

Im not familiar with the gps is it a bluetooth gps receiver. if its a new reveiver then give half an hour or so in the car or anywhere where the receiver has a good veiw of the sky and see what its like after that .
when you try to conect the receiver do you get any scrolling dot in the first gps screen

have you paired the receiver and pocket pc (which pocketpc do you have)

Does the GPS Applet within TomTom indicate you have a fix? The error message could simply mean that you are not on a road.
