Can I TT3 instead of my Medion software?

Hi all

I've got one of the Medion bundles (250 from Halfords) and whilst it works just fine, I'd like to change to TT3 as I fancy 3D maps and I like the idea of not needing to use the stylus all the time.

Is it a simple case of removing the Medion Navteq software and installing the TT software using my active sync pc connection?

Cant see why I cant do it, unless the Medion GPS reciever is somehow unique.

BTW have seen a guy selling TT3 for £25 on ebay. Must be a copy from a real disc.. whats your thoughts?

If the Medion is the same as the one Aldi did recently (ie. the 59000) then it works fine with TT3. I'd recommend patching TT to 3.07 and then all you have to do is set GPS as 'TomTom Wireless GPS' using 'Serial Cable On SP2' and it works great. Also, If you have (or buy) a big enough SD card then there's no reason why you can't leave existing navigation software installed, either.
