Can anyone tell me what the Track Recording is on the iCN 510 (Main menu/Settings/Routing + 2 pages), you then get 'Data Logging Enabled' page and the name of a log file and the choice as to whether you want to log this session but what does it all mean and if you accept to log the session what does it log and where does it 'log' it to, or where do you access it from to read it?

Many thanks

Rich

Track recording does exactly what it says. It records where you've been. I haven't used the function but I believe you can play back the trip on the PPC software, but you can also convert the data file to .asc format and look at it on, say, Autoroute in this format. I used it to plot the perimeter of the London CC zone.

As to where it saves the log file this, along with the name of the file, can be set by you.

It's sometimes nice to be able to see where you've been on a bigger map than is provided on the PPC.

Many thanks Tim, I'll have a play around with it, now I know what it's for.
