Anyone got traffic working?

I am trying to get a traffic account, which as far as im aware I get free for a month having just bought ttm.

Maybe Im doing something wrong so far i have

1) Created a MyTomTom account and logged in to the tomtom site.

2) Clicking on "myTraffic" brings up a page asking me to visit one of two websites to activate my traffic account.

3) Ive used both urls on my windows smartphone and they as you to enter your myTomTom username/password. I enter the same details I use to log into the mytomtom area of the tomtom site, but it says "invalid account details"

Anyone any idea? I have logged an issue with TomTom support but I would like to get this sorted this side of Christmas so Im not exactly pinning my hopes on them getting back to me ;-)
