I have copilot live 4 and the HP Ipaq 6315. The software will nav for me and the receiver works well. It even keeps a connection when I use a bluetooth headset.
I am unable to use the "live" portion of it. My desktop software sees it when it is connected to the usb to sync. Other than that it doesnt. I have the always on internet from tmobile, I have registered at the live.alk.com portion and generated the user keys, etc. It doesnt show at all (I assume that is for version 4.5, etc)
Anyone have a clue how to get this to work. My intent is to use it as a "AVL" of sorts with the phone. Do I need to just give up and get version 5? Any help?

Can we assume your GPRS connection is up and working? What happens when you go to live.alk.com on Pocket IE? _________________ Lutz

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I was able to go to the site, log in and still nothing. I was running copilot with a fix of 9 sats and logged in as a user and as one of the "tracking" numbers, all from pocket I.E. using GPRS
None of it worked for my desktop copilot or logged in on the website through my computer either (not syncing with usb, etc) Maybe I have it set up wrong?
I know on the Pocket PC under the live options I can only put in the screen name, not the user login or password. I cant figure that one out either |

I had a similar problem until I enabled the CoPilot port on my router / firewall. Details are in the FAQs on the ALK site.
