My TomTom Bluetooth receiver packed up last week with the well known permanent green light problem - just 14 months old and probably with little more than 120 hours use. Since TT wanted around £85 to repair it, after reading the review on this site I ordered a SD501 for my 2210 iPAQ from easydevices late on Thursday and it arrived Saturday - thanks Simon at easydevices!

What a difference! Simplicity itself to install and operate and none of the hassle of dropped bluetooth connections. Also been able to remove the cabling installed permanently in the car for the TTBT - much neater just to have the one lead for the 2210/SD501. I have a Nokia 6600 bluetooth phone and they do warn that you might need the additional clip-on aerial provided due to possible interference, but not in my case - excellent reception.

The documentation could have been better but it seems to be a great little piece of kit.............just as long as it lasts more than 120 hours..............! Laughing

Anyone know what the clip attached to a suction pad is meant to be for?

Hi Mearns,

Glad to hear you are pleased with this device. There is no doubt that the accuracy and sensitivity is impressive.
I am sure it will last a lot longer than 120 hours. :-)

The clip on the suction pad is to hold the cable for the external antenna that is available for this device.
