I've been using a 303MMF with my Dell Axim X5 for about 7 months with both Mapopolis and Destinator without any issue in both CF mode and as mouse connected through a cable. Last week suddenly, from one day to the other, the device is not responding anymore. If I power it up I see the red LED burning constantly but dimmed whereas it was flashing before when there was a good link.

Looks like the device is stuck in some mode but I tried many things to get it to work again.

Is there a tool to reset the receiver? Does anyone have a suggestion?

Removing power for a few days will cause an HI-303MMF to factory reset.

If you can't be bothered to wait, you may be able to 'find' the GPS again using Winfast Navigator - though you may have to select the various modes and speeds manually as I find the automatic scan doesn't work properly in Pocket PC 2003 (though it did on Pocket PC 2002). You will need to be in CompactFlash mode to reconfigure the GPS - there's no command input in mouse mode.

The article here (click the smaller text to link) should help - though I take no responsibility if you make things worse.

Sad David,

Unfortunately no luck with your recommendations. Tried both. Somehow the device is switching on and off (LED will turn off when changing COM port) but no GPS data are received.

Any more suggestions?
