Firmware updates for the Rikaline CF Card ??

Hello,

I'm writing with regards to a previous Thread that I posted.

My Rikaline X6 CF GPS Card will ONLY operate on NMEA 9600 (and even then, a Fix is rare) ....it is imossible to set it to anything else, as it locks up/no satellite activity.

Therefore, where do we go for Firmware upgrades for these CF Cards?

I have pretty much had enough of this Card (and the poor performace/issues), and am close to throwing this £80 waste of money in the bin. Not meaning to offend anyone else with this same card.

Oh, and absolutely no feedback from rikaline support E-Mail address either = Poor (No) Service either! :x

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Rikaline like many companies don't offer any user upgradable firmware. We have an X6 and haven't had any adverse effects, but it maybe that you have a different firmware revision that is more unstable.

I'd strongly suggest talking to Rikaline for a swap out. If it's in the UK, give PDAMods.com a call as they (PDAMods / Vivo) operate Rikaline UK.

Please contact us on support@rikaline.co.uk and we will find out what version you have got and get it upgraded for you.

If purchased recently you should have the latest version.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply.

I have recently contacted Rikaline (support@.... and tech@....) and have been advised that I should go back to the Retailer, who sold me the new Card.

Therefore, I have forwarded an E-Mail to them, detailing the symptoms, and am waiting to see if I get a response.

I purchased the Card brand new from a Retailer on EBay UK (on the Auction it did say that they are 'Approved' Rikaline distributors).
It was purchased in April 2004 - I presume the Warranty is still applicable?
