Hi guys,

I have Navigon 4 software which I am using with an Ipaq 5550. I already have TomTom navigator 3 wireless which works fine with the tomtom bluetooth wireless gps dongle.

I am having difficulty using the Navigon software with the tomtom gps dongle, using com 8 as serial port and all other serial ports on the navman settings menu doesnt improve anything. Do I need to change the baud rate?

Can the navman software work with the Tomtom dongle? I thought that because the tomtom dongle was using the NMEA 0183 protocol it would be transferable...?

Has any one else had any luck with the tomtom-navman combo?

Navman 4 means Navigon Mobile Navigator 4 (aka MN4)?

I've edited your original post.

Do you have Tomtom Navigator currently installed? If 'yes' and you have GPS2.08 or later installed then it will be TomTom's GPS Driver causing the issue.

You can either uninstall TomTom or downgrade to v2.07 of the GPS Driver to resolve this issue. Tomtom decided in their wisdom to lock the BT Com Port to TomTom which prevents other applications from accessing it.

The dongle you refer to is a Bluetooth GPS Receiver!
