Hi all,
I am about to get a PDA GPS setup primarily for use on my motorbike, but also so I can put it in the car and take when hiking as well (probably a 2210). I guessed that for this use I was best off getting a cf receiver for its flexibility and portability. Is there any kind of hardware option that will give me TMC reception with this setup? An addon of some sort?
Cheers

If primarily you mean more 90% bike use, then I wouldn't get a PDA for the bike, I would go for something like a Garmin Street Pilot because these are ruggerised and completely waterproof. All PDA's are not waterproof.
It would probably mean more cost outlay as you would still need a PDA for hiking etc, ultimately the decision is down to you.
Some bikers do use PDA's on bikes and use it in an aquapac or plastic bag, but it's not quite the same.
Regards PDA, the 2210 is a good work horse, TMC wise the only one which will have a lot of wires is the Navigon setup. There are other traffic setups like CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 5 and TomTom Navigator 3 that have a GPRS traffic feed back to the AA. |

Cassio did a range of rugidised PDAs, although they were Pocket PC on MIPs so no good for ARM based software. There might be other makers with similar products available.
It would be a shame having to settle for a Garmon Street Pilot, as they are a gernation behind the current PDA systems, with poor UI and slow processors, often necessitating pulling over to give them time to re-route, unike on a 400MHz PDA which is instant.
Cheers
