Hi there,
sorry for my bad english...
I have a big Problem installing the Holux GR-230.
Everytime I install the Device on an Panasonic CF-18 Laptop the GR-230
connects to the "local bluetooth serial port" and if i try to install my
bluetooth printer the print can't be found by searching because the mouse is
connected to the port.
So I tried to turn of the mouse and install the printer again. It works.
But if i turn on the mouse again the printer is not able to print because the
printer can't be found.
Is it possible to connect the mouse to his own SPP Slave everytime i start the
mous, or is it possible to get the mouse connected on demand ?
I tried to right click on the found Holux device an choose "connect to SPP
Slave" so it works that the mouse connect only on demand, but if I restart
the mouse it connects again to the "bluetooth serial port" on the local site.
I have to install the mouse on 250 Notebooks and the printer and the mouse
have to work at the same time.
If you have some questions or wanne kn ow more please say it |

Hmmm, I believe what you're saying is that when the GPS is connected the printer goes offline and you can't print. The reason for this would be that your printer is using SPP (Serial Port Profile) and so is the GPS. I believe their's a PPP (Parallel Port Profile), but it depends on whether your integrated Bluetooth on your laptop supports this protocol (and that the printer supports this protocol also).
Usually only one device can talk on the same profile at anyone time, so I think unless you can work out how to use a different profile, you may be stuck with this problem. |

Thanks for responding
You are right with your analyse. So the GPS mouse is connected to the SPP port but the printer is not.
If I have a look at the services of the printer SPP is not active.
The printer is activated with Hard Cable...
Is there a chance that the GPS mouse connects to his own service ( SPP slave ) and not to the service on the Laptop (serial port) ?
If i understand right, then i haven't a chance to connect two devices to the SPP?
How is it possible to connect two devices to on Laptop?
Does a printer need the SPP?
Can I disable the SPP on the Laptop over the Widcomm Software?
Sorry if i can't explain it as well as i want. I fight to translate the word from German to English ;)
Thanks for helping me. |

I tried just at this moment again and i found out that if the mouse is connected to his own SPP Slave then it works.
I can connect it manuel to this port but not automatically.
If i turn the mouse off and then turn it on again it doesn't connect to his SPP Slave but it connects to the Serial bluetooth port on the laptop side and so the printer won't work again.
wondering about that...
