I found a great deal for both the 300 and 700 in the US at newegg.com, but apparently it's being picked up elsewhere too.
300 - $499 and free yr. of Traffic
700 - $639 and free yr. of Traffic
Pretty good deals. |

Just got one 300 on the "black friday" for 425$ at Fry's in Norcross in GA. True, it was the last one, but you may be able to find better deals on line like NewEgg, or even on PriceGrabber. |

That's a really good deal you got on "Black Friday." BTW, where does that term come from? Anyways, it seems like there may be occassionally some really great deals on both the 300 and 700 |

the term probably comes from the early opening time - over here shops opened at 5 am, and it was still very dark... _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the explanation...it makes sense. Hopefully, I'll be able to take advantage of one of these great deal on the TomTom's before they run out. |

I have been advised that it's called Black Friday because it's the first time the retailers make any profit in the year. _________________ Lutz

That's a good explanation too. I hadn't thought about that. I also thought while I was here that I'd share another good deal I saw for the 300 ($85 off) at Best Buy. Anyways, thanks for the info. |
