I was stupid enough to put my Ipaq 2210 in a bag with other stuff but did not put the Ipaq in it's case. The bag only travelled from my car in the driveway to my living room, but when I next looked at my 2210 the screen was broken.

I was able to get a replacement screen from www.ipaqrepair.co.uk and fitted it myself. Delivery about 7 days.

Tools required are just a Torx T6 and a watchmakers philips type screwdriver.

Job done in about 10 minutes.

I am used to electronic repairs, but this should be possible by any careful person. Just don't lose any of the screws.

The display cost around £129.

Hope this helps someone.

That's good to know. Luckily I always protect the screens, but I know several people have come unstuck with broken screens. £129 is a bit steep when you consider the whole price of £230, but I guess it's still worth it.

It was actually only the touchscreen that was damaged on my 2210 which can be repaired for £68, but you have to send off your Ipaq to get it done as it's not a repair you can do yourself.

I chose to get the whole screen replaced as I needed it fixed quickly.

I did think of getting a new 2210, but seemed pointless.

Could you or anyone else describe the procedure for getting at the inside of the screen ? I have spilled some washing up water on my 2210 and there is moisture sitting between the layers and I don't think its going to evaporate Evil or Very Mad
thanks
