When I plot a map on my PC, it takes seconds, yet when I do it on my PDA, certain maps can take upto 40 minutes!
Now I know obviously there is a considerable difference in computing power, but surely there is something wrong?
I recently plotted a course from my home in South Wales to Leicester, some 200 miles, and it took 35 minutes. What can I do to change this?
Also, I am unable to get the whole UK map on my 256MB card as the UK map is around 310kb.
I love the system, I have the Kirrio GPS too, but this is doing my head in
Can anyone help? |

there was another chap who had the same problem as you. so a search on the forums might reveal something. if you read the manual it says that certain combinations of options within parameters will result in the program calculating every route possible. and therefore if you have almost the whole of the uk on your card then it will be pinging results from lands end to the north (scotland i think ). try altering the settings as per the manual.
although i might add he had a tungsten e as well but i havent had any problems with my t2. maybe there is a difference in mathematical processing power 8O

Yeah, I've changed the parameters, but it's still a little erratic in its processing.
Thanks anyway. |
