POI search, Partco Autoparts!?

Hi,

I have a Palm T3 running Navigator 4.12
The maps and application are running from a 256Mb SD card with both GB and MRE installed. I have GB map selected because as standard the MRE map appears to have no POIs

If I browse the map and then find POIs and select shops I get a list of places which consist almost entirely of "Partco autoparts Ltd"!?
The last listed one is 254miles away, so it seems that I have all of their shops in the country listed!

The only exception is a solitary BP shop, and "Brown brothers gge"??

Not particularly useful to me, as I tend to let my Garage deal with buying parts for my car ;-)

Anyone else experience this?

I've not tried the original SD card as I've kept that in a safe place (which escapes me at the moment)
I've reinstalled from a hard reset and still get the same :-S

Yep you are right - I have just checked mine and they are nearly all Partco autoparts. Just shows you how often I go shopping

You can save POIs as you want, so if you have particular favourite shops you can just set up another POI group. And of course you can set up POIs in MRE. They would need to be on the Major roas though

I thought I was going mad at first 8O
..then I thought I'd broken it after messing about copying the POI data files from the GB maps to the MRE.

Parents were in Wales on holiday and phoned to ask If we could look up and tell them where the nearest Supermarket was.
No problem, I said , I'll just look it up in TomTom - okay your nearest Partco autoparts store is located 25 miles away and this it the route :-S
