Already got Tomtom software, should I buy JUST a receiver?

I need to buy another GPS navigation system.

I've already got a Tomtom Navigator 3 Bluetooth which came with software.

Now... would I be OK JUST buying the hardware seperately?
I can save about £40 if I buy one of the cheaper models.

Or... I can buy one of the more expensive ones.
(Can someone tell me why they are more expensive? Are they better than the Tomtom version?)
