Has anyone else experienced problems accessing the GPS Status screen in TT3. When I click on the icon nothing happens the application just reverts to the Navigator or map screen.
I have tried Tom Tom support but they didn't really have any solution other than suggesting to install the maps on the internal memory of the PDA.
I am using an XDA2 with Bluetooth receiver with Great Britain maps on a 128MB SD card. The kit was bought as a package through O2. |

Do a soft reset, and then try to access the GPS applet directly via Start > Settings > System > GPS . Let us know what happens. _________________ Lutz

The GPS application can do this if certain other programs are running in the background at the same time. These include Active Synch, Contacts and Calendar. It behaves like a memory shortage issue even though I do not have one. Oddly these programs all run fine if started after TomTom and do not always cause the problem.
These programs can only be stopped by a soft reset or killing Contacts and Calendar in iTask or Settings/Memory/Running Programs and Active Synch can only be stopped in Settings/Memory/Running Programs.
No doubt there are other programs that cause the intermittant problems, but these are the three that I have found. |
