Replacement for my Nuvi 1440

Looking for some advice please, my 1440 which has performed sterling service looks as if it might have almost reached the end of the road

A few year's back it developed a few horizontal dotted line's on screen, and I received advice on here, now the lines are up to six, and the battery isn't retaining it's charge although its okay when plugged in the car, and although I can work through this like me it isn't getting any younger

All I am looking for is like for like performance, and although it has CN Europe NT 2019.20 all I use is EU countries, and don't want to pay for things I won't use.

Currently I use a Garmin dashtop beanbag, and want to keep using it, if possible, although currently it engages lugs top and bottom of the unit, and the new ones have a ball socket at the back, which I assume I can use it I remove the ball mounted bracket?

Looking at various sites around the £100.00 price point several which might be suitable, and I wondered if anyone has practical experience of them, or recommend something else. A Drive 51 LMT-S at Currys for £79, or these two at £99 for example Drive 40LM, DriveSmart 50LM.

...that is LMT-D signifying digital traffic.
Essential in my book, but a bit dearer to buy new (there are second hand ones on Amazon etc from positively rated suppliers).

Yes your beanbag ought to fit, I would have thought.
My beanbag is just great with my 2599LMT-D.

Just to close this post. I now have a Garmin Drive 51LMT-S with full Europe maps, purchased from Curry's at a very good price

And my grateful thanks to Sussamb in helping with some teething problems, one requiring a master reset to sort out, and then it did one by itself, don't ask me how, but it was switched off with a pile of operating favourites which had disappeared when switching on the following day leaving the default 3 Garmin favourites which I had deleted?

Surprised you went for the -S version.

If you use your phone with any car handsfree system then you get no traffic as, AFAIK, no phone allows 2 simultaneous connections.
