Has anyone been able to solve the blocking by Opel/Vauxhall of importing speed camera POI's? Or maybe found a way around this.
Any help or comments appreciated as currently I have a nice car with a poor excuse of RDS traffic and yearly updated cameras. It's a farce.
To be clear, this only applies to cars produced at a certain time. Mine is a post facelift, 2014 Insignia. The 900 (none intellilink) systems allowed importing and alerting for camera POI's. The Intellilink systems do not. |

If it was me I'd be asking Vauxhall, or Vauxhall forum, if they have blocked it or have any input.
More and more manufacturers are doing this as it help reduce bricked units/warranty claims when owners get it wrong.
In the meantime, can you link your phone to the headunit and get CamerAlert to announce the cameras via that?
I've done this in my Civic and it's perfect. It cuts the audio, announces the (directional) camera, then returns the audio. _________________ DashCam:

Hi and many thanks. Any chance you can give me more details of how you go about this please? I am a bit of a novice but have linked my Samsung Note 2 to the car ;-) |

Install and update CA.
Then, via the CA settings, set the audio output to bluetooth.
On my car, I had to play some music, via bluetooth from my phone, to get the volume right.
Trying to do it on the move isn't safe. _________________ DashCam:

If you have already subscribed to the PGPSW camera database then no, you can use that subscription.
If you haven't then make sure it all works with the sample database first. _________________ DashCam:
