A driver has managed to amass 54 points on his licence over a period of just six weeks.
A Ford Transit was caught speeding by speed cameras nine times on the A127 in Essex - consequently, the man who was believed to be the driver, 35 year old Michael James Keenan, was written to asking for confirmation of who was at the wheel on these occasions.
Keenan failed to identify the speeding driver nine times.
Last week, in Colchester Magistrates’ Court, Keenan received 54 points, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £1,720.
Keenan was described as having no fixed abode - it was not reported if the man attended the court or if indeed the police were able to actually contact him.
A police spokesman commented: "We continue to see a lot of people ignoring notices sent by the police in the hope they will go away. They will not. Speed limits are in place for a reason, which is to keep drivers and other road users safe.
He added: "We assess all driving offences to decide the most appropriate course of action, which can range from completing an education course, issuing a fixed penalty or taking the matter to court."

So because he was unable to effectively perform private investigation services for the government for free he gets points on his license? |

No. He was 'awarded' the points because he failed to comply with the law multiple times. |

'Transit van', 'No fixed abode' is all I need to know to make an educated guess. _________________ DashCam:
