Hi,
My father-in-law has just bought a new petrol Ford Fiesta Titanium Turbo on a 17 plate.
Now, I know that I preach "read the handbook" and "determine the make and model of the built in SatNav" but I don't have access to either the vehicle or the handbooks. When I next see my father-in-law I will have a look at the SatNav and the handbooks.
So, in order to save time and to not reinvent the wheel, as the new Ford Fiesta Titanium Turbo is hopefully a popular car, I'm hoping that somebody on this forum will have access to one of these cars and let me know the following about the Ford Fiesta Titanium Turbo (MY 2017) :
1. Can its SatNav take custom POIs?
2. Can its SatNav display custom POIs on the screen?
2. Can its SatNav take the PGPSW camera database and provide proximity warnings (audio and/or visual)?
By the way, the salesman has said that the SatNav won't take POIs but I've heard that salesmen do not fully understand SatNavs and POI comparability so I'm hoping that the salesman is wrong.
Many thanks, _________________ Robert.

Unfortunately I think that the salesman is right. Its likely to be the Ford Sync 3 system. I don't know any way to add custom POIs in bulk to Sync 3. You can save favorite destinations but that's about all. _________________ Paul |

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for your reply.
Now I have a name of "Ford Sync 3 system" I will search through the documentation to see whether it mentions Sync 3, when I next see my father-in-law.

Update
I've now had a chance to look at the manual of my father-in-law's Ford Fiesta Titanium Turbo and the vehicle does indeed have a "Ford Sync 3 system".
Searching the internet has shown that the Ford Sync 3 system does not support the use of custom POIs nor the PGPSW camera database.
If anybody knows of a way of loading custom POIs to a Ford Sync 3 system then please reply to this thread.
Many thanks, _________________ Robert.
