I have a TOMTOM One XXL I.Q. Routes edition, I bought this a few years ago while on holiday in Florida, there for it had USA & Canada maps on it. Upon my return home I purchased U.K. Maps and swapped them over using TOMTOM Home software. I have been to US & Canada a number of times changing the maps over as requires, We are going to Florida in April and I have just come to change the maps over only to find the USA & Canada map has completely disappeared form my computer. I have reluctantly purchased a new USA & Canada map from TOMTOM only to find it will not fit onto my device, not even the Eastern & Canada zone. can anyone offer any help please?
Sorry the post is long but I wanted to get all the information across.

Sorry to state the obvious especially as I'm a bit rusty on TT models these days but I thought that the One XXL had an expansion slot for an SD card.
My quick Internet search appears to support this.
Apologies if wrong and it's another case of TT bringing out different variations of the same model. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

and so the plot thickens. I have just viewed my TOMTOM as an external drive and within the drive is a folder named USA_CANADA & MEXICO. it is 1.13 GB in size. can anyone offer any advice? I will try to attach a screen shot of my TOMTOM device.
don't seem to be able to upload a screen shot |

Connect the TT to your computer.
Using Windows/Mac File Manager (NOT TT Home)select view Hidden files and make a full back up of the TT onto the computer by copying and pasting all folders and files and keep the back up safe.
Using File Manager, make space on the TT by deleting the unwanted map (1.13GB)
Go back to TT Home and try again to download the USA map you have recently purchased.
EDIT - To show a photo here you have to upload the photo to PhotoBucket/ImageShack/Imgur etc.and post the link here. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
