|
|
Can we use CRUX VIEW to test the TRANSPLANT GPS SLEEVE ? As there is no testing software supplied by expansys with this Transplant sleeve and I have yet to get a tom tom 3, so is there a way to check that GPS sleeve works fine without having a gps software? Will crux view work for transplant? |

Download and install the TT GPS driver from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=13
Run "GPS" in programs, select the Emtacjac as the receiver and you should start seeing moving dots in the graphics, followed by grey bars turning to red.
NB The receiver has to have a clear view of the sky to work. A cousin of mine sat by the patio doors when he was testing his new Emtac jacket when it was raining and wondered why it didn't work! |

I have tried with TT gps driver. I have selected EMTAC GPSJAQ (there was no option for transplant jacket) in the above combobox and Transplant IGPSJ in the lower one, then when i go to the status, there were 3-5 gray bars which turned red after sometime. I am new to this stuff, do you reckon that everything is fine and my Transplant gps sleeve is working?
Thanks |

That means everything is in order
Your location co-ordinates are displayed above the bars.
You just need the navigation software now. |

You can use Crux View with the Transplant GPS Jacket. Just do an activesync, click "explore" and copy the crux view program onto your PDA. Just set the Baud Rate to 4800 and the COM port you are using and click open.
The program may not be as flashy as the TT stuff, but it has lots of neat little features.
