Might have guessed. I updated GE yesterday and both 2597 and 2599 up to date.
PC later then. _________________ Satnav:

Same here, nothing for the 2599.
Saves me the trip to the garage to get the unit _________________ Satnav:

Likewise.
I was hoping the routing algorithm options would be improved, to include "Easy" or "Caravan" to avoid narrow roads and very minor country lanes with passing places and width limits.
I'll suggest it again to Garmin. |

The problem with that is whether that sort of data is embedded in the map data, if it's not then a routing algorithm won't be able to take account of it. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

The info is available otherwise 'truck' satnavs wouldn't work properly. Whether it is in the dataset that G use in their maps is another thing. It might be, but the routing ignores it. |

I agree. I was pointing out that it may not be there, and I'm not clear whether Garmins devices aimed at truckers, caravanners etc use the same mapset or not. If they do then great, but if not then it won't work. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

GE has an updated firmware for my 2599 now v 7.6 which seems to be the same or similar updates.
Tomorrow then ... _________________ Satnav:
