I was supplied with an SD card as part of the TT for Palm kit. Is it possible to make a backup copy of the card? I know the TT FAQ says you don't NEED to, as you can back up from the CD, but is it POSSIBLE?
(I don't have a PC, and it would be easier for me to copy the card to my Mac and then onto another card than finding someone with a PC to borrow) |

Well, replying to myself ... some further thoughts ...
When I first installed the SD card I undesrtood it to have installed the application to the Palm. Correct?
Now, suppose I want to buy a CD with a new map on it - I suppose I can install the new map on a new card, and the application on the Palm reads the map on the card - yes? In other words, is it correct that on the card you just need a map? Or does every card also need a copy of the application, or some other thing, to "unlock" it? If not, then the application would be backed up by whatever Palm backup utility you happen to use. |

I think you are right - application on the Palm its self, and the maps on the SD card. That way you can easily change maps if you have more than one, on different cards. |
