Not sure if this area is the correct place to ask.
For the last 2 or 3 years, no matter whether the TomTom updates or SCDB updates. I have found them lacking many of the known locations of the Mobile Camera positions used.
Of the possible 8/10 I know of, only 2/3 are alerted when approached. Some of these known positions are purpose made standings for the van to position itself for scanning and others are lay-by's used.
It worries me, how many more elsewhere are missing.
So how would I know if by subscribing here would be any better than what I have now.
Thanks |

You won't but have faith. It is. If you are a member and are the first to submit a new camera you can get a year's free subs as well and have the self satisfaction of making our database even better than the others. |

Are you saying by informing the forum of new locations of Camera's, a year's subs are available.
What format of the locations would be reqd.

Just click the big yellow button (We Need You) on the right of this page to submit the camera position via the map. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

But, as M8TJT said in his reply, you must already be a paid up member to qualify for the following years free subs. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

And the camera location/site must be verified by one of our verifiers, and you must be the first to accurately report the location. Your submission for a mobile site is more likely to get accepted if you include a good narrative report describing its location. |

You don't. Like I said, Have faith. IT IS better. How can you possibly know unless you try it? Other than everyone here will tell you it is, but if you don't believe us, that's your prerogative.
EDIT.
Just had another more positive thought. Click on the big yellow pointy finger in the right hand side bar and get to our submission map. Zoom in to the place that you know that the other databases have cameras missing and see if we have got them. |

You can't unless you have a subscription.

Is that right?
I simply wonder as each week we're told in the updates that so-and-so didn't qualify for a free years membership as although they submitted a location they didn't have a qualifying subscription |

Zoom in n the submission map ( http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras&op=SubmitCamera ) to the location you're interested in. This will show all the locations we have in the database.

You can, but there's a big warning that appears informing the user that, as they don't have a subscription, then they won't qualify for any award.
