japanese audio prompts?

Hi

Just bought my first PDA system - 4150 + tom tom 3 wired kit.

My wife might also use it, but as she is japanese, it would be handy if I (read: she) could record or download the audio prompts in Japanese. Much easier for her to understand as she wouldn't have to concentrate on them.

Can tom tom allow this? I'd still want to use English prompts myself.

Oh, and if anyone has any scare stories or tips about the 4150/tom tom combo, please let me know - package should be here on Tuesday.

it should be be fine as a package just read all you can on bonding the gps and installing it the bast thing to do is print off the help files so you can read up what to do before setting it up and using it have fun

I think you should be able to record voice prompts in Japanese. Whichever language you use the wav files used by TomTom have English filenames so it's fairly easy to work out which file gives which prompt. I think there's about 30 of them altogether.

TTN doesn't allow you to easily switch between languages but if you look at this thread you can see a workaround which works well for me.
