I am puzzled by the routes my inbuilt sat nav takes me on, it constantly tries to route me on the side roads to the M25 or A406.
I will programme my destination in and it will take me through Central London and say its 21 mins to home and that journey at 6pm on a motorbike takes me 30mins.
Any ideas?

No and even going around the 406 it takes me off and on to avoid the underpasses and tunnels are selected. The ones on the 406 don't show them as connected for some of them but my garmin 550 takes me that way.
It just never considers using fast routes. I got a loan car this afternoon and coming back off m4 to get onto m25 it went to take me off the junction before and onto the a4?
Just seems very wierd. |

Is there an option to calculate "fastest" or "shortest" routes?
What you're describing sounds similar to what a TomTom does if you accidentally select "shortest". _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

It gives 3 choices but there all virtually identical, one setting is that it avoids junctions lights etc and stops but that is the same as the others.
Will just have to programme some waypoints in.
Cheers
