is is safe and possible to remove the original speed camera data (cyclops) from my garmin nuvi 1490t and if so how do I go about it please. I use the pocketgpsworld speed database but the cyclops speed icon still shows up in the bottom right hand corner of the unit, which is out of date.(not updated it with Garmin speed camera database since buying the unit)
Thanks |

Just delete the cyclops files from the POI folder, They should be obvious but if you're concerned post back with the file names in the POI folder. |

thanks for the reply..the only files in the POI folder are as follows
pgpsw-speeed-cams-q5Qq5-(11-093).gpi 19/09/2013 09:11 GPI File
UKCyclopsSample.unl 10/02/2010 13:38 UNL File
I guess its ok to delete the UKCyclops file then it is only 1KB, will this stop the speed limit icon from appearing in the bottom right hand corner of the unit?
Thanks again

The actual file appears to have already been deleted as it would be a .gpi file.
The speed icon is always shown, it's nothing to do with the cyclops files. |

The speed in the lower right corner is the speed you're travelling at or the speed limit of the road according to the map data. It has nothing to do with either the cyclops or any other speed camera files. |
