Tomtom 3 and Bluetooth GPS: Other BT devices

Hope someone can advise:

I have a Dell Axim X30 with BT TomTom3. My Axim worked fine connecting by BT to my phone for internet/email access etc. Then I installed the Tomtom with the BT GPS receiver and have lost all BT access to other devices.

I have read around the forums and deleted the TomTom - GPS driver via the remove programs on the Axim.
The connection to the GPS still works although the GPS status facility has been lost. The problem is that I cannot connect to my BT phone anymore.
However if the BT connection to the GPS is present, I CAN get access at the same time to the phone!
If I switch off the GPS unit, or move out of range and lose connection, then I cannot connect to the phone.

Does anyone have a solution? I have read of similar experiences but the fix I thought I had found has not worked for me.

I have read this, a very useful post once I had found it, hence I removed the tomtom-gps programme.
After removing it once, it no longer appears in the remove programs page.

Hence I cannot remove it twice, is there any value in installing version2.06? Incidentally TT is version 3.07 and am using Windows 2nd Edition.
I am not trying to use the GPS with another programme, just use the BT with my phone and other devices.
