Does the new installation guide (what I wrote) at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-vauxhall-opel-navi.php help?

Let me know if you have any queries/issues/suggestions. Smile

Where during the import process is it failing exactly? Based on my experience, it will fail at or under 50% if it can't find/read the file from the USB flash drive, and at 51-99% if it isn't happy with the contents of the file (it tells you the number of the line it doesn't like).

If you haven't already done so, put an MP3 file on the root file of the USB flash drive. The Navi should automatically find and play the file if you insert the drive into the USB socket when the Navi is switched on.

If the Navi can find and play the file then it's happy with the drive you are using and the format on it. If it can't, then the issue may lie with the drive and/or the file format on it.

I think we can assume that the Navi is OK with the USB flash drive then.

Perhaps as a next step, I can send you a file to put on the drive in case that's where in the process it's going wrong.

If you want to try this, let me know (a) which country you want, (b) if you want unconfirmed speed cameras or not, and (c) where I can send the file to.

I can't really think of anything else I can do unless you happen to live really close to me but let me know if you have any thoughts. Smile

@hil9279.
It's not a good idea to put your email on any forum without disguising it as it invites spam. As James12 now has your address it might be a good idea to edit your post and delete the email address. Or you could use the private message system which is a little less insecure.

Apologies from me for not pointing out that email addresses shouldn't be put in posts but should ideally be sent via PM Embarassed

Anyway, the file is uploaded successfully to the Navi 600 now so mission accomplished. Smile

Im having similar issues trying to upload the Speed camera POI's to my Navi 600.

i followed the guide at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-vauxhall-opel-navi.php

I am using a 1GB usb thumb drive.

I formatted it as FAT32 (I also tried as standard FAT and had the same problem)

Created a folder called MyPOIs and copied on to the thumb drive pocketgps_uk_masters_and_pmobile_5

When I tried to upload it into the Navi 600 i received the follow error on the display

Quote:

Import failure in line 0
File: pocketgps_uk_masters_and_pmobile_5.poi
Please check the user manual.

When I tried uploading the pocketgps_uk_sc_5 file it went to 50% within a few second and didnt go any further.

I put an MP3 on to the root of the Thumb drive which played fine
