Please confirm I'm assuming correctly that if I spot a mobile device thats verified you want me to "tick" it, but if it's not there then press the "cross?
I've just spent 10 days on holiday in Kent where there are quite a few mobiles on the database, however I found that waiting until close enough to the mobile site to be sure whether it's there or not, means that the "ticks & Crosses" disappear before I've time to press anything, and I was travelling as the passenger so a driver would have no chance!
Is it possible in your next update to leave the "ticks & crosses" on screen until the site has been passed to give more time to spot the mobile (or not if it's not there)and then press the appropriate button?
If that's not what the "Ticks & Crosses" are for then please put me right!!
Many thanks |

Don't suggest the removal of a mobile just because it's not there. Mobiles are nearly always not there and are deleted from the database after about a year if they have not been 'seen again'. Have you tried out tha manual pages on the subject . here |

Trev - this is exactly what the ticks ad crosses ARE for. As a Androider you've not got these yet (but you will do soon)
To clarify:
Tap the TICK if the mobile site is in use as you pass/approach
- this also sends i a 'seen again' report.
Tap the CROSS if it is currently NOT in use
- this just marks it as not in use, it does NOT send in a 'remove' request.
Gretel
If you tap the list view you can see the cameras you have passed and can tick/cross from there.
I'll make sure your feedback gets seen by Mike and Lutz though.

Then my apologies . Just as a matter of interest, what's the point of the cross then? Does the 'not in use' info go anywhere? The site may be 'in use' in 10 mins time when you pass back that way. If it's important, why hasn't Android got one? |

WTF doesn't this thread have an EDIT button?
I'll look forward to receiving the ticks and crosses that don't do anything then. |

Tick and cross android update has been pushed to google and should be appearing in Play Market anytime soon.
The cross isnt really in use much at the moment but a future update will make it more worthwhile.
I don't know if I'm allowed to say what the update will be but you may be able to guess anyway.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been using the ticks and crosses "in theory". Not actually do it but just in my head. I'm finding it too fiddely to tap the cross or tick and drive safely.
Can it not be reduced to just a LARGE tick or SEEN AGAIN button and just assume if its not hit its not there. Some locations had several mobile sites close together and tapping a cross for each one would be too much of a distraction. |

How about voice control? Once you come closer to the zone we could automatically start the audio recording and then somehow figure out if you shouted "There it is, the little bunny"? or if you kept silent? _________________ Lutz

+1 for Paul's idea. I can't see the point of the cross But after a little more thought, it allows you to cancel the popup so I'm on the fence now. How about the option od switching them on or off? |

Lutz - You're probably on a wind up but I don't think the voice recording will be useful for the 'in use' stuff :p
The cross (not there) is useful for us from a data harvesting point of view - i.e. we can see not just when cameras are in use but also when they're not.
This may or may not be used in the app at some point.
