Hello,

I'm new here. I've got a question which I think I've found the answer to but need someone who knows to clarify something for me. It might be basic but I've just downloaded the PGPSW speed camera software and loaded it onto my TT1005, set it all up as instructed but do I turn the standard TT camera alerts off?? as am I right in thinking that if I don't I'll get loads of warnings from both TT and PGPSW when approaching a camera? Also, what would I have to do please.

Many thanks

Paul

Welcome Paul. I think you can turn off the TT cameras by going into Live Services, Safety Cameras and changing the audible warnings to off.

With both turned on, you will get some duplication, but we often suggest to "newbies" that they keep the TT warnings for a short time until they have satisfied themselves of the superiority of the pgpsw ones.

As Dennis says.

Deactivate the TT ones, and use the superior PGPSW ones. Wink

Don't forget to see the guide on setting your warning distances as well. (I can't remember where it is, but I'm sure a Dennis or another mod will be along soon.)

A lot of people just use the following as a simple "rule of thumb" for the warning distances...

For fixed cameras, set the warning distance in yards to be ten times the speed limit.
(So for a camera in a 30mph limit set it to 300 yards, for a camera in a 40mph limit set it to 400 yards, etc, etc)
That gives around a 20 second warning for all speeds, which is good for most people.

For MOBILE camera sites, just double the above figures for all speeds.
