|
|
Hi,
I have been downloading the City Navigator updates using my lifetime update membership onto my PC for Mapsource and also on the Nuvi 1690 GPS unit.
I have accumalated a number of previous updates saved on my PC which show in the relevant dropdown list on Mapsource. These previous updates are taking up a lot of space on my hard disk.
Is it possible to remove some of the previous updates from my PC?
If so, how? Do I go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs on my PC and uninstall the relevant update - leaving the latest one so I can still use Mapsource - without killing off the codes?
Some advice would be much appreciated.
Regards

Yes, it's been a while since I used Mapsource but I believe that's the best way to do it. |

In Mapsource...Utilities...Manage Map Products...Unlock Regions
you can select any of your old maps, click Properties, and it will show you its unique 25 character unlock code, so you can make a note of it for future refence if you ever want to reinstall that particular map from backup.
NB Mapsource usually retains these codes, and reports Map Product not installed.
