I cannot install the latest Western Europe map on my XL2 as it is not offering different zones, so only the whole map is available in TomTom Home. The whole map is too big for the device's internal memory, and it does not have a memory card slot.
Has anybody else experienced this problem with the new maps? |

Maybe the zoned versions were taking a bit longer to produce?
I've been away for a few days. Has the situation improved yet? In other words, have you had any luck getting the zoned map now? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

How much longer do we have to wait?
I've paid for an update service, which I have yet to receive. Perhaps I should seek a refund from TomTom and buy a Garmin. |

I had the zoned maps on my Go720 and Home would not update the map. I contacted TomTom via chat and was sent instructions to remove the old map and rename the download folder on my PC. Next time I connected the full map was downloaded and it now fits in the 2GB internal memory of my Go720. |

@malkie, I'm being nosey.
Out of curiosity, what is the name of the map you have just downloaded?
I thought that the 720 was shipped with Western & Central Europe (Which is just called Europe nowadays) and is currently 2380MB in size which wouldn't fit on your 2GB TT.
However, the Western Europe map is smaller at 1838MB. If this is what's installed, did you buy it as "Add a New Map" or was it part of TomTom's "Map Update Service" _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
